On the 26th of April 2005 Google finally indexed Design XL.
When you do a search for Design XL on http://www.google.nl the website appears on the 5th place. The advantage of a blog is that has multiple post on the first page which change regularly. Thats why the search term ‘design xl’ appears a lot on one page. For the search engines it is important that the key words you use in the meta tags are also used in the content of the document body.
I noticed that Movable Type is not ‘search engine friendly‘ because the website is not indexed at all. Only the homepage is added to the search engines database. I will drop this cms.
Update 09-10-2005: Funny thing. The Ploink!Brothers website appears higher on the search results page then Design XL while searching for ‘design xl’. The reason is that the Ploink!Brothers website is completely indexed and now has more design xl references.
